The function of DevOps is at the intersection of IT development and IT infrastructure administration.

DevOps is the contraction of developer and operation.

It puts in place all the processes, tools and automations that will make the creation of a site or a software application more fluid between the time of its development and its use.

At the junction of the professions of the developer who creates the application and the administrator who deploys and operates the solution, the intervention of DevOps allows for much shorter development cycles that are just as efficient.

His daily tasks consist in setting up, administering and supporting the build that will offer to compile the tests in an automatic way to gain fluidity and speed.

The missions

As a DevOps, you initially create applications or websites that precisely meet the needs of businesses from a specification.

Secondly, you guarantee the proper functioning of these solutions once they are launched and throughout their life cycle.

In doing so, your missions will be to:

• Develop an application or a website that meets the expectations and needs of users;
• Design and conduct the necessary tests to ensure a successful launch of the application or website;
• Support the integration and deployment of the solution;
• Ensure that the solution is well understood by the users;
• Take charge of the training if necessary;
• Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of the application or site, intervene when anomalies arise, ensure updates and technical developments.
• At all stages of the project, from writing the code to using the application, you are subject to a quality obligation.

• Technical skills in the development, system administration and production of application and software solutions

Developments

The possibilities of evolution are oriented towards management positions such as: Project Manager or Team Leader with increased responsibilities in the same field such as Network and Infrastructure Engineer, Full-Stack Developer, or even management positions: Director of Technology or CTO.
