Expert IS Architect - Windows Core - M/F

CUSTOMER

As part of the development of its management systems, the WSD(Windows Storage & Datacenter) team needs to call on an external service provider to maintain and upgrade its Windows infrastructure.

MISSIONS‍

The Windows Server Infrastructure Architecture Expert assignment includes, but is not limited to:

• Assist in the review, design, implementation and management of Windows Server operating system security hardening, including but not limited to Group Policies, DSC configurations, LAPS.
  ‍
• Provide expert-level support and administration for Windows Server (AD, file services, DFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Windows clustering, certificate authorities, etc.).
  ‍
• Define Windows Server operating system build configuration, certify build, automate deployment.
  ‍
• Windows server lifecycle management: provisioning, de-provisioning, application of configuration management (virtual and physical server infrastructure).
  ‍
• Help design, implement and manage automation activities within the scope of Windows Server :
  • Windows Server deployment/deprovisioning automation
  • Automated identity management
  • Reporting
    ‍
• Review, recommend and implement improvements to reduce BAU efforts, improve performance, reliability and security within the Windows Server perimeter, including but not limited to:
  ‍
  • Windows Server patch management
  • Windows Server antivirus protection system
  • Vulnerability management
  • Compliance reports
  • Automation of routine BAU activities
  • Improve the quality of automation and reporting of daily checks

• Assist with O365 tenant management, identity security, reporting, license management and BAU automation
  ‍
• Supervise level 2 Windows Server engineers. Assist with incident management as needed.
  ‍
• Assist with architectural review of monitoring implementation within Windows Server and VMWare scope. Review, propose and implement changes to improve monitoring capabilities.
  ‍
• Coordinate with IT teams, sales teams and vendors regarding Windows Server system implementation, high availability, backup, monitoring.
  ‍
• Assist WSV group projects as needed. Examples of projects:
  ‍
  • Windows Server operating system obsolescence / operating system migrations
  • Windows Server automated provisioning/de-provisioning project
  • Integration projects
  • Active Directory classification project
  • Windows Server 2025 certification
  • Configuration management application and reporting
  • Designing and implementing cyber disaster recovery
  • Participate in Windows Server shifts as required
  • Perform morning checks of Windows Server infrastructure as required

DELIVERABLE:

• Produce and document the architecture/solution
• Delivery of project elements and activities defined in the project framework
• Management of assigned request/incident tickets in Jira
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, diagrams and CMDB information
• Participate in relevant weekly calls
• Perform weekend interventions (if necessary)

• International context: French and English (written and spoken)

• PowerShell / automation scripting expertise
