FinOps Engineer (M/F)

CUSTOMER

Our client is looking for a FinOps Engineer to join its Finance team in Paris on a permanent contract, with solid experience in accounting, finance, internal control and data analysis.

As a key member of the FinOps team and the MLOps/SRE team, you will work alongside various stakeholders, reporting directly to the Lead SRE.

Your main responsibility will be to consolidate and oversee the financial responsibility of infrastructure costs for various Cloud providers and DataCenter infrastructures.

In addition, you will play a crucial role in improving cost optimization to support the objectives of our Engineering and Research teams, ensuring a streamlined cost flow from the Infrastructure department to the Finance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the consolidation and supervision of financial responsibility for infrastructure costs.
• Centralize cost management across various Cloud providers and DataCenter infrastructures.
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to help them achieve their objectives through effective cost management.
• Ensure streamlined cost flow for infrastructure costs.

REQUIREMENTS

• MSc degree in computer science or similar engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in the technology industry(Cloud or DevOps engineer)
• Fluent written and spoken professional English.
• Competent in collaboration, such as Google Workspace or the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Comfortable with FinOps framework/philosophy and cost reporting.
• Experienced in the cost model and product categories of leading cloud providers such as GCP, AWS and Azure.
• Ability to work and communicate in a technological environment, mainly with software engineers or similar positions.
• Collaborate with SWEs to develop tools that can improve and automate the implementation of the FinOps framework.
• Ability to write and understand high-level technical specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid prior experience in remote FinOps or as a Cloud engineer.
• Knowledge of DataCenter operations and project management.
